COVID Impact on Arts and Entertainment

It is no secret at this point that every industry and all individuals across the globe are facing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The origin of The Anthem Group started with live entertainment. It is not only still relevant today but it is our passion, in our DNA and something that our team is forever grateful to. We feel compelled to spread the awareness of our sisters and brothers in the arts and entertainment industries.

From its beginning, both visual and performing artists have played an incredibly important role in Anthem’s universe and are directly ingrained to our existence.

The current outbreak has left countless members of the arts and music community with uncertainty in their future, as concerts, festivals, tours and other types of performances and exhibitions are cancelled or postponed. Keeping that in mind, it is not only the artists that are being affected, but the crews, technicians, transportation drivers, security personnel, stage managers and a host of other roles that are necessary to bring production to life. The number of people impacted is far greater than what is seen on the surface.

There are of course small, simple actions that you can take to support rising artists. We encourage you to check in on their social media, see if they have a platform to accept donations, purchase merchandise items and share their art and their stories. The emerging artists in particular need your help. On a broader scale, we urge you to join the fight for everyone in these support roles. Read and consider signing this petition to demonstrate support and help direct government attention towards increased event and entertainment industry aid.

In the end, we all have that source of entertainment, whether it be music, theater, comedy, art or anything else that has lifted us up and kept us going. Now it is our turn to return the favor.
