Overcome a Challenge and Use it to Grow Business

All entrepreneurs are faced with challenges daily – large and small. However, the biggest ongoing challenge is enabling others to understand, share and align with your vision.

Ironically, the largest impediment to human achievement is most often other humans. This holds true for the greatest of mankind’s accomplishments right down to the foundations of our routine business activity. One of the principle difficulties faced by an entrepreneur is how to best appropriately, gracefully and rationally contend with people who are shortsighted – those that just do not or cannot share a similar vision for something greater, those who dream too small or those who are reluctant to change. The most important of innovations to even small improvements in daily lives, occur when someone shakes things up. In addition, there is a hidden danger of when someone thinks they understand a vision, are ready for change but lack the proper tools or knowledge. This again leads to the task of not only appropriately, gracefully and rationally working with these people but also to identify, educate and work with them to make them a truly productive ally.

Humans are creatures of habit. Whenever someone goes against the status quo, it makes people uncomfortable and those people can become roadblocks.

To overcome an obstacle, it takes intelligence, charisma, tact, finesse and a fiery tenaciousness to enact change – to make a vision a reality and to quiet doubters – that alone is the greatest challenge. Business growth depends on innovative concepts and visions that stir the market and influence people to see a better way to do things. You don’t need to forcefully communicate your ideals at people. That is counterproductive. But you do need to stick to your belief, your innovation, and don’t let the shortsighted people get you down.

Staying positive is not always easy but enacting change is never the easy path. Stay earnest, keep your ideals strong, communicate your concept well, and you may be surprised at how many people will align with your vision.
